Elma Chamber of Commerce Presents Elma Lanes with Business of the Quarter Award
The Elma Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors presented the Business of the Quarter Award, for the fourth quarter of 2014, to Henry Dawson, owner of Elma Lanes. The plaque was presented at Elma Lanes during the Elma Chamber of Commerce general membership meeting on December 10th.
Elma Lanes was presented the award based on enhancement to Elma and support of the business community. Elma Lanes was built in 1959 and has been a stable business in Elma since opening. Henry Dawson bought it 18 years ago in 1986. Elma Lanes has six employees.
Henry started remodeling two years ago installing new floors, a new scoring system, all new bowling lanes and modern furniture. If you have visited Elma Lanes in the past two years you will have certainly enjoyed the remodeled facilities.
Elma Lanes supports the community in numerous ways. Henry sponsors Grays Harbor Raceway, Special Olympics including providing trophies, and a free bowling program in the summer for youth. During the year Elma Lanes offers very affordable youth and adult bowling teams. Thank you Henry Dawson and Elma Lanes!
