Elma Chamber of Commerce Presents Rusty Tractor Restaurant with Business of the Quarter Award
The Elma Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors presented the Business of the Quarter Award, for the third quarter of 2014, to Rusty Tractor Restaurant. The plaque was presented to Christina Miller, General Manager, during the Elma Chamber of Commerce membership meeting on September 10th at Rusty Tractor Restaurant.
The restaurant was opened by Sonny Bridges, Sr. twenty three years ago in Elma as the Rusty Tractor Restaurant. Sonny Bridges Jr. was the chef for many years and then purchased the restaurant from his Dad. Sonny Jr. was enthusiastic about the rusty tractors and grew the collection from the beginning. The tractor collection is made up of museum quality tractors.
Rusty Tractor Restaurant was presented the award based on enhancement to Elma and support of the business community. The restaurant employs twenty-three people. Rusty Tractor Restaurant supports the community in numerous ways. They are called on throughout the year for donations to many non-profit events and activities. Rusty Tractor Restaurant is a faithful supporter of Chamber activities as a sponsor and donor. The restaurant has been upgraded this year with new carpeting and new hard surface floors throughout.
Rusty Tractor Restaurant is a frequent tourist stop in Elma. Whether visitors are on the way to the beach or staying in Elma Rusty Tractor Restaurant is one of the favorite places to visit. You can frequently see visitors outside posing and taking photos with the tractors.
