Elma Chamber of Commerce Presents Summit Pacific Medical Center with Business of the Quarter Award

The Elma Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors presented Business of the Quarter Award, for the first quarter of 2016, to Summit Pacific Medical Center. The plaque was presented to Renee’ Jensen, CEO and staff, at the Elma Chamber membership meeting hosted by Summit Pacific Medical Center, March 9, 2016.

Summit Pacific Medical Center was presented the award based on enhancement to Elma and support of the community. Summit Pacific Medical Center construction began in 2011, and opened the doors for business in February of 2013. This new facility not only met the needs of today’s population but will continue to meet the needs of our children as well.

Summit Pacific Medical Center employs approximately 170 people. In 2016 Urgent Care services have expanded to 7 days per week and 24/7 Virtual Care Services have been added.

Summit Pacific Medical Center is committed to constructing a Wellness Center in the future. “We want to change the way people feel about their healthcare. We are their partners and want them to be involved in and understand their healthcare”, said Nichole Pas, Communication Specialist.

Summit Pacific Medical Center is very active in community events and offers numerous educational programs on various health and wellness topics. These programs can benefit people at any life stage.

Summit Pacific Medical Center Foundation raises funds for a Patient Assistance Fund, which helps to provide patients with the medications and travel expenses they need, but aren’t always able to afford. The assistance is provided in two separate forms: by subsidized or free prescription assistance and also by transportation assistance in the form of gasoline cards. The fund also supports the Comfort for Kids Program, which allows Emergency Department and Urgent Care staff the means to provide stuffed animals and stickers to the youngest patients. The Foundation also raises money for new equipment and a construction fund.
